The 2008 Hawaiian history calendar features images taken in 1912 from a photograph album of Kīlauea Sugar Plantation on Kaua‘i Island. This is the H. W. Thomas photograph album, which was donated to the Hawaiian Historical Society in 2002. Most of the photographs document plantation work at Kīlauea, but the Thomases also attended luncheons, picnics, and other social events.
